Hi! I’m Crista–a wife, a mom of two kids, a missionary, a worshiper of Jesus, a writer, a dragon slayer, a foodie, and a self-proclaimed professional laugher. Back in 2009, my husband and I heard God’s invitation to serve Him in Berlin, Germany, so we sold all our belongings and finally moved our family of four from Texas in 2014.
We love and serve the refugees who have flooded into Berlin–by building relationships, praying for the sick, sharing the good news of Jesus, inviting them to worship Jesus and read the Bible with us, and other creative, relational means of discipleship. It has been our joy to see many refugees open their hearts to Jesus as their savior, and we have had the privilege of baptizing some of them, too.
I write about matters of faith, missions, the Church, family, and relationships. I love uncovering the beauty inside the struggle, the revelation inside the pain, and the peace in the middle of the storm.
I love dogs, Tex-Mex, movies, snow, mountains, travel, cultures, cooking, natural health, and writing. I play piano and guitar and lead worship in our house church and other places when invited. And I enjoy speaking/teaching for different events, too.
